A 17-year-old college student allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a moving train at the MG Road Metro Station on Mar 6 evening, said reports. According to the reports, Vishnu Sharan was a first year PU student at the St. Joseph PU Composide college. Meanwhile the reason for Vishnu taking the extreme step was known and no suicide note was found. The CCTV footage of the metro station revealed that the boy was checking his mobile phone a number of times before jumping on the tracks and under the wheels of the train. This was the first suicide on Namma Metro after metro train was introduce in last Oct in Bangalore.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he died. Alegesan an employee of BEML tools department was a heart patient and had undergone bypass surgery four months ago.
